In 1993 we, Desiree and Roel Knoop, started to breed German Shepherd Dogs, with our first female “Haika van het Zuidpark”. Now we own several females all bred in our own kennel.
We only use breed surveyed Körklasse dogs in our program, what means that they are being bred by the rules of the Dutch German Shepherd breeding club (VDH), from responsible combinations. Character, health and socialisation are main issues in our kennel. We only breed with working lines, but within the conformation rules for German Shepherds. This also means that our females have to meet to the anatomic criteria set up by the VDH/SV. You’ll see in the bloodlines that we also use Excellent build and Kkl1 ancestors.

Our primary goal for breeding is: To breed with healthy and vital German Shepherds with a good stabile character, with high drives, courage and hardness and potential for Schutzhund sport.
We don’t go for extremes, our dogs must also be able to maintain in a “normal” family situation and must be social partners all the same.

The pups will be delivered with a Dutch Pedigree, certificate of breeding level, and agreement of the VDH, wormed and with lots of feeding, educative and training information.
We do a lot of puppy socialisation; the puppies will come outdoors, and indoors every day, and will have a lot of contact with children, cat’s and strange people who come and visit the litter.
At about the age of 7 weeks, the pups will get a puppy test, to see which pup suite the new owner the best.
The puppytest.
At the puppy test we most of all look at the social behaviour and working behaviour of the pup. Also the sound sensibility of the pup will be tested.
A pup will be tested to see how he responses to new situations, laid up dominance and pain stimulus.
The test is very friendly for the pup, and the pup most absolutely not gain any trauma from it!
This test is most of the time a confirmation for the breeder, of what the breeder already has seen. But there are always 1 or 2 pups that will surprise you during the test!
That's why this test is so important, to make a good match between the pup and his new owner
You can come and visit our litter from the day they are born. And if you want to you can make a reservation for a puppy. You just have to call us for an appointment.
